Herne Bay & Whitstable

Two of the best locations to wind surf in Kent, as long as there's a easterly or westerly wind you're in for a treat. there are two good launches from hampton pier in Herne Bay and the beach left of the harbour in Whitstable. Also in Whitstable there is a flat area which is exposed at low tide which is prefect for beginners in low winds. Whitstable is prime for Windsurfing and the world record was set here for speed by Mark Tuckwood.

Dymchurch

The wind can get quite powerful in Dymchurch, so it's well worth a visit if you are more experienced in wind surfing. best surfed in a south westerly wind, there are good launch points from the beach.

Minnis Bay

Another great place for windsurfing. Along with Whitstable this is one of the orginal beaches known for windsurfing.

Leysdown on-sea

The best point on the Isle of Sheppey for wind surfing. Leysdown on-sea is best surfed in a south westerly wind and is more suitable for the more experienced wind surfers.
