Surfing

There are two great surf schools available in Kent to choose from.  Both offer a great selection of courses available to the public.

Joss Bay Surf School

Set up by Dave Melmoth in 1998, Joss Bay Surf School is located at one of Kent's blue flag beaches Joss Bay Beach, Broadstairs. Along with a great location Joss Bay Surf School is the only British Surfing Association (BSA) approved surf school in the South East of England.  Joss Bay Surf School have achieved a BSA level 2 status, which means their instructors are able to teach all abilities from beginners to the more advanced levels. Combine these two things together and add the passion for surfing shared by Dave and his team, you've got a great location to learn to surf in the UK!

Kent Surf School

Situated at Viking Bay in Broadstairs, Kent Surf School is a great place to learn to surf. Viking Bay has a great swell coming into the bay while being protected by the bay itself, which is ideal for beginners.  You will be in the very capable hands of Dan Chapman who has been surfing in Kent all of his life and is a BSA level 1 instructor.  Kent Surf School is a great place to start a lifelong passion for surfing.
